Consistent with the 2020 AHA Guidelines for CPR/ECC, BLS uses a variety of eLearning assets such as dramatizations, eSimulations, animations, self-directed learning, and interactive activities to teach students BLS knowledge and skills.

After completing the online portion, students attend a structured BLS Hands-On Session with an AHA Instructor. This session focuses on meaningful skills practice, debriefing, team scenarios, discussions of local protocols, and skills testing. 

HeartCode BLS is for healthcare professionals seeking an alternative method for completing an initial or renewal BLS Course.

This course will renew current instructors so they can continue to teach American Heart Association Basic Life Support courses. In order to participate in this course, you must be an AHA BLS Instructor, possess a current basic-level AmericanHeart Association Basic Life Support (or higher level) certification or equivalent and be at least 16 years of age on the last day of the instructor course. Upon registration, it is important that you review and follow the directions on the e-mail attachment sent with your registration confirmation.

Once you register for the class, you will need to fll out the Instructor Renewal Packet in the confirmation email. Once the form is completed annd you have all your necessary paperwork, scan and email it to registraton@tfclifesavers.com.  You will then be scheduled for a Zoom meeting to complete the remainder of the renewal, whci requires a teach back lesson. 

 Base-line certification is a pre-requisite. Thank you!

BASE-LEVEL AHA BLS PROVIDER CARD

You are required to have an American Heart Association BLS Provider Card.  No other organization will be accepted.  If you don't possess and AHA BLS Provider Card and didn't request the add-on during your registration, please contact us ASAP to make arrangement. Add on cost $45

 

2020 INSTRUCTORS MANUAL AND PRESENTATION 

You are responisble for having  the updated Instructor Manual and Presentation if you don't currently have it.  The bundle cost is $137.50 from the American Heart Association website.  CLICK HERE to purchase and be prepared to show your instructor.

This Skills Session includes a structured BLS Hands-On Session with an AHA Instructor, after successful completion of the online portion. This session focuses on meaningful skills practice, debriefing, team scenarios, discussions of local protocols, and skills testing. 


HeartCode BLS is for healthcare professionals seeking an alternative method for completing an initial or renewal BLS Course.

Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a two year certificate from the American Heart Association.

*The Online Heartcode portion is a mandatory prerequisite for this class and can be added on to this order or purchased separately from the American Heart Association or another provider.

The Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course incorporates the latest science and teaches students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck, back injuries, heat and cold emergencies and how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies to help victims of any age - adults (about 12 years and older) and pediatric (infants and children up to 12 years of age). Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years.

This course will prepare you to recognize and care for a variety of first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children and infants and meets OSHA/workplace requirements. This is a blended learning course including an online portion and an instructor-led classroom skill session. The online portion must be completed prior to attending the in-class portion and must be taken on a PC or tablet with a high speed Internet connection. Allow approximately 2 hours 30 minutes to complete theonline portion. Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a digital certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years. **Please note: Please bring proof of successful completion of online coursework for instructor. Thank you!

This course will train instructor candidates to teach basic-level American Red Cross First Aid, CPR and AED courses. In order to participate in this course, you must possess a current basic-level American Red Cross Adult CPR/AED (or higher level) certification or equivalent and be at least 16 years of age on the last day of the instructor course. Upon registration, it is important that you review and follow the directions on the e-mail attachment sent with your registration confirmation. This is a blendedlearning course consisting of online content, a precourse skills session and classroom segments. Online material must be completed prior to attending the classroom activities. For more information, please reference the attachment you will receive via e-mail when you register for this course.

* If you use a different email logging into the Red Cross Learning Center than what was provided to TFC, please contact the office to update your email. Email's must match.

*You must complete the Pre Course work before or by scheduled date, start of class. Otherwise, you will not be able to participate in the class. You will be turned away to reschedule. If you do not complete or start the online work by your original scheduled class date the ARC will void your online Pre Course work located in your portal when you registered with that link. Once you reschedule to a new date a new link will then be provided again. If you began your Pre Couse work but did not finish it by your original class date, all your progress is deleted and you will have to begin the course work from the beginning. If you did complete the course work but did not show up for your class or needed to reschedule you do not need to do the Pre Course work again, please provide your completion email from the ARC to TFC on your rescheduled class date

To provide youth who are planning to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants. This training will help participants to develop leadership skills; learn how to develop a babysitting business, keep themselves and others safe and help children behave; and learn about basic child care and basic first aid. The recommended age for this course is 11-15 years old. Please Note* Bring a snack and lunch to class. Thank you.

New Hire Orientation for TFC Lifesavers

The health and safety of our participants and employees are sincerely a priority for TFC Lifesavers CPR Institute.  In response to the recent reports from the Center of Disease Control (CDC), effective immediately, we will be implementing the following changes to our business model:

First and foremost, per recommendations from the CDC. We ask that you cancel your session if you are experiencing the following symptoms:

Fever

Cough

Shortness of breath

  • Student displaying these symptoms, are strongly asked to reschedule their class and the rescheduling fees will be waived.

Classroom Management

  • Masks are recommended, but not required 
  • The student/manikin ratio will be 2:1
  • The instructor/participant ratio will be 1:12
  • Personal protective gloves may be worn during the entire class, for both students and instructors.
  • You will also be given the option to text your attendance.
  • We ask that you be understanding in the event an instructor is experiencing symptoms and last-minute adjustments or cancellations must be made to a class.

We will remain vigilant in our efforts to keep our clients and employees safe and healthy and encourage you to take the necessary steps to ensure the safety of yourself and others in the community.
